The close cooperation between Bronto Skylift and Jalo & Jalo Oy, the leading hydraulic platform vehicle service provider in Finland, will become even tighter, as 16 Brontos will transfer to Jalo & Jalo’s ownership as a result of their business deal with Janneniska Oy. In addition, Bronto will deliver two new S56XR machines to Jalo & Jalo during the year.
Long and successful cooperation continues
At the end of April, the leading hydraulic platform vehicle service providers in Finland, Jalo & Jalo Oy and Janneniska Oy, announced a business deal under which both companies will focus on providing hydraulic platform vehicle services in their own categories. In the future, Jalo & Jalo Oy will provide services with its own equipment up to 80 metres. The company will buy hydraulic platform vehicle services requiring a B-class driving licence or carried out at heights over 80 metres from Janneniska.
As a result of the business deal, the company's cooperation with Bronto Skylift, which has already been tight, will become even tighter. The deal will increase the number of Bronto's hydraulic platforms at Jalo & Jalo considerably, as 16 Bronto machines will be transferred from Janneniska to Jalo & Jalo. Jalo & Jalo's cooperation with Bronto can also otherwise be called long-term: the first hydraulic platform was delivered to Jalo & Jalo in 1972, in the same year that Bronto Skylift was founded. Today, Jalo & Jalo has 50 hydraulic platform vehicles and, with only a few exceptions, they are all Brontos. Both companies see each other as strategic partners, and the fact that Jalo & Jalo is planning to replace all of its machines gradually with Brontos tells about the strength of the partnership.
New S56XR machines: side reach has a decisive role
This year Bronto Skylift will also deliver two S56XR hydraulic platforms to Jalo & Jalo. The first one has already been delivered. The machine to be delivered during the autumn will be the first one of the new S56X model and will have the serial number 001. Its new features include a cage that rotates 440 degrees, which enables optimal positioning and easy access to target. The machine also has a stronger boom structure.
According to Sami Jalo, head of Jalo & Jalo's hydraulic platform vehicle business, the most decisive factor in the selection of Brontos was their excellent side reach. ”For us, the most important feature of equipment is not working height but good side reach, which makes the equipment suitable for diverse uses,” Sami Jalo says.
The name of the XR series comes from the words ”extreme reach”, and the machine really lives up to its name in practice: the side reach of S56XR is up to 40 metres. Bronto’s XR machines have proved their excellence and functionality, and the machines now delivered will increase the number of Jalo & Jalo's XR machines to seven.
There is also another important aspect that add to Brontos attractiveness. ”We are more than satisfied with the maintenance services of Bronto Skylift. Cooperation with them is smooth and easy, and problems are solved quickly and professionally”, says Jalo.
Reliability from a forerunner
Another proof of the level of the mutual cooperation and trust between Jalo & Jalo and Bronto Skylift is the fact that Jalo & Jalo has already previously bought Bronto's prototype models that have been the first of their kind, i.e. machines with the serial number 001. In connection with the deal, one of these 001 machines, a 2004 model S61XDT machine, will be returned to Bronto Skylift. The machine has operated reliably and retained well its resale value – good references for a good hydraulic platform.
